Come join the fun!!

The Triangle Scholarship Organization's Carolina Stars Program is a mentorship and leadership experience designed for girls ages 5-12. Each Carolina Star is paired with a Miss or Teen candidate/titleholder who serves as a mentor and role model throughout the year.

Carolina Stars receive an official Carolina Stars sash, tiara, and TSO t-shirt, participate in a special on-stage production number during the competition, and are recognized and crowned on stage during the event.

Most importantly, the Carolina Stars Program is not a competition. There is no judging, scoring, or winner selection involved in the Carolina Stars Program. Every participant is celebrated, included, and encouraged throughout the experience.

Anyone who meets the age requirements and completes registration may become a Carolina Star - no previous experience or competition is required!

What is the Carolina Stars Program?

The Carolina Stars Program allows young girls to build friendships, grow in confidence, and become involved in their communities alongside the Miss and Teen candidates and titleholders of the Triangle Scholarship Organization.

Carolina Stars are encouraged to participate in community appearances, volunteer opportunities, and special events alongside their titleholder whenever appropriate. Through these experiences, participants gain exposure to leadership, public speaking, service, and personal development in a supportive environment.

The goal of the Carolina Stars Program is to inspire the next generation of confident young women while providing a behind-the-scenes look at the Miss North Carolina and Miss America organizations and the opportunities they create through scholarships, mentorship, and service.
